Finally, I took the plunge and went to my first ever speed dating event. (Really! My first.) And I’m glad I chose one facilitated by Frankie Bashan founder of littlegaybook. She knows what’s she’s doing! Painless, and, actually, way more fun than I expected. I found something enjoyable in each of the thirteen 5-minute conversation blips, even though I didn’t have romantic vision for most of the women I met. (I do have my eye on one or two, and I’ll know within 24 hours if we are aligned. And, personally, I’m only looking for one.) The phone app that structured the potential chaos was impressive and functioned well. My only complaint is, and I can’t really complain, because I was forewarned, that speed dating is very, very… speedy!
