Getting a consultation with one of Little Gay Book’s lesbian matchmakers is getting one step closer to being matched with one of our clients

A Consultation is a 90 minute interview with one of our matchmakers, where she drills down into who you are and who your loving match is.
How
You receive a Consultation in two ways:
- Little Gay Book contacts You because we have a matchmaking client who appears to be a good match for you.
- You contact Little Gay Book after creating your profile in our Matchmaking Database
Why
Becoming a Screened Member of the Database is a membership upgrade that allows You to be more seriously considered as a match for one of our matchmaking clients.
Screened members are considered and selected before unscreened members because we have interviewed you and have a better understanding of you as a person and what you’re looking for in order to increase the probability of making a successful match. After spending 90 minutes asking you every question under the sun, including your future mate, your past mates and all the interests, values and unique attributes that make you special, we’ll know ALL about you.
Where
Consultations are performed over Skype or in-person
If you live in the same city as one of our lesbian matchmakers (currently New York, San Francisco, Oakland, Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, Portland, Chicago, Washington DC and Austin, TX), we will meet you in person. If you live elsewhere (or your local matchmaker is out of town), we’ll do the Consult over Skype.
Cost
Consultations are a service we provide as part of matchmaking
It is how we hand-pick the right match for our clients as well as provide you with an upgraded membership option.

Caveat
A Consultation is not a guarantee
While getting a Consultation can add greatly to success with our agency, it comes with no guarantee. It is an upgraded membership option that we offer for women who want to put themselves out there in a more direct way and are looking for more involvement with Little Gay Book. We generally have 10-15 matchmaking clients a year.
We value honesty and authenticity and because matchmaking is such an intimate service, we will be the first to tell you that not everyone is a good candidate for matchmaking. This isn’t to be mean, it’s simply a reality of what we do.
You must be content with knowing that after you are interviewed by one of our consultants, there is a chance that they may never call you with a match.
Again, this is not to be harsh, it’s simply how it works: We won’t call unless one of our matchmaking clients is a potential match for you.
